Update on the towels

I wrote a post last month about our new ensuite towels we bought over 12 months ago. You know the ones that are still on “show” in our bathroom that we haven’t used yet:

Well, knowing how important this topic is to you, we have a funny story to share….

Since we’ve gutted our main bathroom, anyone that stays with us has to use our ensuite (yes, it’s a hard life having to use it!). Well, one of our friends had a shower in our ensuite and grabbed the nearest towel…which just so happened to be one of the new towels…to dry himself off as he layed out the new bath mat to stand on.  Was I mortified? Actually I am relieved that we’ve broken past the point of no return and are finally able to use them. We had even bought a second set of everything from Freedom recently just so we could finally break the cycle.

Just as a side, I thought I would mention that we’ve bought some new towels for the main bathroom which our guests can use in their once it is finished…and use them we will! I promise not to fall into the same trap we did with the ensuite
