Hot! Nursery Colours

I had been waiting for the 12 week mark to hit – which it did last week – to FINALLY be able to buy something for bub. My shopping demon was appeased this week when my family came to visit and mum and I did a spot of shopping.  The added benefit was I finally found my jumping off point for the nursery colour scheme in the form of some soft play cubes from Target:

The colours feel gender neutral seeming we don’t know (just yet!) if it will be a boy or a girl. They also play nicely with the Dulux Blind Date we have on the wall and the charcoal coloured carpet. I also picked up a knitted throw from the same range at Target although I am struggling to find a quilt for the cot that is going to match the scheme. So if you see anything, drop us a comment and let us know.

Today is officially the 13 week mark. Being an older mum-to-be, I had to have the usual risk assessment tests this week. It meant an opportunity to get an updated snap shot of bub. Here it is for your viewing pleasure:

Not only is bub a whole 7cm long but apparently is also very active…could barely stay still for its photos. Hopefully in the next 5-7 weeks we will have a chance for another snap shot and possibly be able to find out if we should be buying pink or blue (permitting the little one hasn’t got it’s legs crossed at the time!).

Have fun,

Michelle
